How to install audio device in the pc because the audio device has been deleted and i no longer have the CD?

You see I have moved to a different location and with movers picking my stuff up the XP CD has disappeared. Bad timing because when I hooked up my PC my wife was no longer able to utilize the multi language typing. So I had to borrow a XP CD from a friend. Now leaving me without sound. Help please!!!!!!!
