Pive Aggressive Dance, how does one break it ? read:?

Not putting any blame here on personalities, but I have just discovered that my X was pive aggressive and have been going round and round with my grown daughter, 29, who is highly pive aggressive I have just realized. How do I step out of this dance ? She is not truly wanting a relationship to move forward, infact she is derailing it while giving lip service to it ? Remember, it is my daughter. Research says these type people often don't consciously recognize what they are doing, but it is killing me because I am a truth teller from the get go.
