What's the normal healing time after getting all teeth pulled?

My mother had all of her teeth pulled five days ago (she needs dentures). Since then, she has been in and out of consciousness, vomiting constantly, and has developed bruises all over her body (probably from vomiting?). Her words are almost unintelligible. The pain is more severe now than it was the day they were pulled, and I can't get her to see a doctor or go to the hospital. After doing a little research, I read that it's recommended to always wear the temporary dentures while healing, to avoid infection and aid in the healing process. However, she says they're 'uncomfortable' and refuses to wear them. What I need to know is...is any of this normal? It seems to me like the healing process should not be this intense or painful. Maybe a type of serious infection has developed, from her not wearing the temporary dentures? Please, if anyone's had their teeth pulled to get dentures - what is a NORMAL healing process? She refuses to "bother" her dentist with an inquiry, and I don't know what to do.
